We’re Amy & Howard, the husband and wife team behind the cameras of Sedna Photography, and this is our blog.
If you’ve come here, you are either a) looking for someone to take photos of the people and events that shape your life, or b) like to look at nice photography of people generally having a pretty great time.

About us
We’ve been married for three years now and have a beautiful daughter named Isabella. She is fairly new to the family, and we’re still wondering what we did before her. Essentially, she’s the center of our universe.
We have a dog named Dexter – a yellow Lab mix that quietly cemented a place in our lives when we took him in after he needed a place to stay. He’s still very sneaky in getting his own way. We also have three cats, Penny, Molly & Moo-Bear. … Yes, Moo-Bear. We’re fairly certain he was a dog in his previous life. Each rotates in and out of the role of “dog teaser”, as Dexter sees it. Penny has Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays; Molly has Tuesdays and Saturdays. They’ve been with us a very long time, and we love them.
Aside from telling stories with pictures of the love between two people and the families they build, we love food, cooking, wine, music, books, movies, and anything that brings together people and food, and the opportunity for a good belly laugh. There isn’t much that's better than a good belly laugh.
That’s us in a nutshell. We are very average people who appreciate what and who we have, and are thankful for everyday filled with those people and things.
On Our Photography
We haven’t discovered or noticed if we have a “style”, as such. And really, that’s fine with us. We love what we do, and how we do it. It doesn’t matter to us if it has a definition.
We’re very easy going and relaxed, and we want you to be too. Let us tell your story the best way we know how, and that’s with you just being you!
We’d like our time with you to unfold naturally, as if we’re old friends just hanging out. When we want or need something from you, we’ll let you know. We promise.
One thing we do know about ourselves and our photography, is that we’re excellent problem solvers. Anything can come up during the craziness of a wedding day, or when the only thing a toddler wants to do is run, run, run. We’re experienced, and ready for just about anything. We also have Master Certificates in Patience and Understanding. Relax and trust us, you’re in good hands.
